From Start-Up Software Vendor to AV Market Leader
Over the course of nearly two decades, UAT has emerged from a small, family size company to a first-class corporation. Today, UAT is a prestigious market leader in collaborative audio and visual solutions provider. The company now provides AV products and services to multinational companies, listed companies, banks, major finance institutes, local government departments, universities and hospitals. UAT's commitment in providing with the best continues our future success.
1989 to 1996 Former UAT
Tony Cheung in 1989 founded Oasis Systems Limited together with Sultan Rehman. (Sultan is a world-class architect programmer, multiple patents holder and co-author of 'XML' published by Microsoft Press.) Oasis vision is to develop application software for real-time business processes. The year 1990 laid the first milestone: the HKSA Project, HKSA now being known as the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. HKSA enforced the then history ever top confidential statutory regulation called 'Practice Review' and it was consulted, developed and implemented by Oasis. Meanwhile, in the early 1990s, with Belgian capital support, another family size of company was formed to import IT equipment from overseas.

1997 UAT and Video Conferencing
The restructuring and merging of resources of companies emerged the Ultra Active Technology Limited. Their vision: explore other IT applications, not just computer hardware and software. UAT tapped the video conferencing market and started to focus on VC business and source different brands. |

1998 TeleVu VC
UAT introduced 'TeleVu' VC equipment to Hong Kong and this product attracted adoption mostly by family and small to medium size companies. |

1999 Polycom Distributorship
UAT acquired the distributorship of Polycom which is now the largest market share in the VC market. The customer base started to grow and cover large and multinational corporations. |

2000 Expansion and Re-engineering
UAT moved to a larger office in the Convention and Exhibition Centre. All the team roles and work processes were re-defined and streamlined in order to provide the top most quality services to our customers. |

2001 Paperless, More efficient and Fully Automated
UAT selected IBM Lotus Domino/Notes to standardize all our business applications and IBM Lotus Domino is a worldclass middleware with which UAT further developed our in-house enterprise management system called Finance, Logistics and Profession. |

2002 UAT 5th Anniversary
UAT reached our 5th anniversary in 2002. Our scope of audio visual project size also expanded, e.g. the Yahoo! Project, Bank of China project, CLP Power and Hospital Authority project. |

2003 Corporate Citizen Caring Hong Kong
During the SARS outbreak, UAT provided support to the Health Department to combat SARS by providing VC equipment and sending engineers for VC support to maintain uninterrupted communication among government Departments. |

2004 Rapid Growth
To serve well every of the UAT customers, UAT keeps on improving the service quality to handle complex service calls and AV projects. With this and other innovative integrations, UAT sees rapid growth. In the same year, UAT completed severl major projects, namely Goldman Sachs, Trade Development Council project in the PRC, Chinese Universities and Civil Aviation Department. |

2005 Corporate Responsibilities
UAT participates more in the communities by providing interns to college, IVE and university students. Besides, UAT also actively sponsors a number of sports activities in Hong Kong. |

2006 Innovative Integration
In this year, UAT introduced the SlimPro and MegaPro series which account for a magnificent acceptance by the customers. In the fourth quarter of this year, UAT launches PresencePro series to let our customers experience life-like video conferencing. |

2007 High Definition Audiovisual Projects
In 2007, UAT markets a full range of High Definition Polycom products and in the same year UAT acquires admirable projects, e.g. the PricewaterhouseCoopers project, Lehman Brothers project, China Travel project, Constitutional Department project and Astec project. UAT's VC project expansion takes a leap forward. |

2008 Deluxe Boardroom
UAT moves to a larger office in the same building, Convention Plaza, a prime location allowing us to provide quick services to premium customers. WIth over a decade's experience, we provide glamorous boardroom design with a combination of the latest AV equipment, lighting and video conference. UAT is enthusiatic in supporting more charitable and sports events. |

2009 Real Presence Experience
Despite the general economic downturn in the first six months of 2009, UAT introduced to Hong Kong the Polycom RPX series, the top of all product lines of video conferencing, aiming at helping corporate to lay a stronger infrastructure to prepare for the economic recovery.

2010 Three Core Businesses
Professional experience and even stronger technical team drive our three core businesses: Video Conferencing Collaboration, Audio Visual Integration and Deluxe Boardroom Design, from our 8 major product lines: Video Conferencing, Audio & Acoustic, Projection & Large Display, Room Central Control, Lighting Control, AV Matrix, Furniture & Renovation and Digital Signage. |
