Project Description
Previously relying on basic audio video systems to communicate with clients and employees, the firm wanted their new office to provide more sophisticated methods for long-distance communication and presentations.
Boardroom
Video Conferencing System
A Polycom video conferencing system is installed and integrated with the central control system. It was placed on a custom made plate under the two 50" plasma displays.
Video System
The front plasma displays DVD discs, video conferencing feed and a computer sources. Floor cores were located underneath the conferencing table. Two table boxes are tailored for the computer, video, control, power and network connections.
Program and Audio Conferencing Systems
Soundtrack, audio conferencing and program sources include DVD discs, computer-based audio sources are provided via up to eight ceiling-recessed loudspeakers or up to twenty speakers when all conference room and training rooms are used at the same time. This system provides highly intelligible, feedback elimination and natural sounding speech reproduction. Four boundary microphones and two handheld microphones were included for boardroom attendances.
Remote Control System
An integrated programmable audiovisual remote control system for easy and automatic operation of the presentation equipment is provided. A central wireless control panel is used to adjust system volume and audiovisual functions in the boardroom. This system provides control of boardroom lighting levels, curtains, front projector, switching, audio system, video conferencing system, powering up and down of entire system and DVD unit machine transport controls. Computer control software is provided for operating one of the computers in the network for presentation purpose.
16-buttons manual switch is provided to select different combination of room used when needed. DVD player and wireless microphone are mounted within a 10U mobile rack. All are provided on demand for all three rooms: one Conference Room and two Training Rooms.
Conference Room and Training Rooms
A 43" plasma is being mounted on ceiling. The Plasma displays DVD discs and a computer sources. One floor box is provided for the computer, video, power and network connections. Soundtrack, program sources include DVD discs, computer-based audio sources were provided via up to four ceiling-recessed loudspeakers when the rooms are used individually.
Lounge and Reception
A 43" Plasma was mounted on wall. The Plasma displays a computer sources. One wall box was provided for the computer, video, power and network connections. Soundtrack, program sources and computer-based audio sources are provided through plasma speaker.
On-Site Audio and Video Technician
In order for the new AV systems to achieve their optimum productivity, UATprovided onsite support to manage their extensive network of systems. A UAT on-site Audio Video Specialist provides the APL with technical experience and knowledge to ensure their new multimedia systems perform efficiently. The AV specialist makes sure that all audio and video conference calls run seamlessly and is prepared to reprogram control systems as needed. The firm also has access to UAT's privileged helpdesk for troubleshooting AV issues with UAT technicians. UAT on-site presence allows the executives and staff of APL to focus their time and energy on their business. |
